Among various other albums right now, I can’t stop listening to Generation Hexed, the debut album by the U.N.K.L.E. track-name-dropping Drums of Death (aka Colin Bailey) on Greco-Roman Records.

I have been big fans of Greco-Roman since their inception. Started, I believe, by Joe Goddard (of Hot Chip, etc.) and friends, the label has organised several fantastic parties over the last few years, including events featuring the oddly-spelled but entrancing Grovesnor, 2 Bears, the refreshing Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (try and catch a live performance of his if you can!) and many others. The musical output has also been consistently brilliant, releasing secret Hot Chip side-projects and Joe’s Harvest Festival album, among others, but reaches its current apex (I say current, sicne it might be a false peak!) with the release of Generation Hexed.

I’m not going to link to any tracks, just treat yourself and go and buy it – at least in time for All Hallow’s Eve. Also, hang on in there to the end too, since Voodoo Lovers, the closer is absolutely stonking.

Any thoughts?
