David Shillinglaw is some serious artist. Having devoted the last decade or so of his life to the cause, David works with his paints, canvases and other instruments during the day, and sleeps among them at night. I am always impressed by artists who retain their stylistic idiosyncracies while evolving their style (see my post on Adam Neate for another example) and David’s oevre is certainly a fantastic example of that.

His artwork features in issues two and three of The Hill which you can buy here for only £2.

More importantly, some of David’s work, including the wonderful piece above, is being exhibited in the rooftop bar at The Hospital Club in London. Do go cheque if you have the chance. Furthermore, David has just released a book, which he calls “a catalogue for an exhibition that never has and never will exist”. It is great and you can pick up limited edition signed copies here.
