I have enjoyed almost all of Carsten Nicolai’s artistic output. The almost refers to his recent Diamond Version project alongside long-time collaborator Byetone (review remains unpublished on the aethernet). Although I am most familiar with his musical works, many of these have been paired with visual counterparts which are invariably as stunning as the music they represent.

I unfortunately missed the latest group show at Hoxton Square’s Ibid. Projects which displayed a few of Nicolai’s recent works on paper, but I am very pleased to hear that the gallery will be hosting a solo show of his beginning at the end of February. Expect interpercolation of the audio and the visual.
