Richie Hawtin // Enter. / Ibiza

Any club night with the tagline “Music. Sake. Technology. Experience.” has got to be serious.

I haven’t ever been to Ibiza, so I cannot comment on the undoubtedly exciting goings on there, but the ambiguity of the place has never attracted me to it. However, the straight-talking Enter., a night started last year by Richie Hawtin in Space, is one of the various elements making Ibiza potentially-interesting to someone like me.

The dedicated sake bar is a big draw – London needs more sake-oriented night clubs. Richie has said it is the perfect accompaniment to clubbing (although he has in fact suggested that wine would be his clubbing drink of choice, if it was more floor-friendly!). Hawtin has also curated a varied but generally stellar line-up for the club’s 13 weeks of parties, including his own brother, visual artist and ambient musician Matthew Hawtin, and VVV-favourite Andy Stott. Full line-up here.

Hawtin’s love of cutting-edge technology will likely also play a part in the proceedings. All the nights will be streamed by Resident Advisor, via Livebeat, here.
