I was lucky enough to catch the final performance of Opera Erratica’s Triptych at Notting Hill’s Print Room, but for those that missed this brilliant new contemporary opera there, it is moving to Wilton’s Music Hall tomorrow for a mere four performances on Monday and Tuesday, 9th and 10th of June. Grab tickets here, or, I suppose, just turn up.

Structurally-based around Puccini’s Il Trittico (Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicci), the three pieces, a comedy, a tragedy and a ‘nun piece’, are all highly creative in their individual ways, making great use of projections, live camera work, vocoders and vinyl sampling. Parts are hilarious, others tragically moving – it’s not to be missed. Oh, and the set is designed by Gavin Turk, who created ‘dramatic representations’ of several of his iconic artworks exclusively for the show.
